We got into Cleveland at around 11 last night and into our hotel at around midnight. It's been pretty crazy, but our advisors managed to get a transfer flight to Rochester at 4, somehow it has been able to avoid the cancellations so we are crossing our fingers.
Hopefully, we'll get home later tonight. Wish us luck and I'll post again if anything changes.

Day 14
Hey everybody. After the all nighter at our Akcent Hotel in Prague we found out that our flight to Newark was cancelled....... Luckily, we were able to get a transfer flight from Amsterdam to Houston. Things are kind of crazy right now in the airport, the original plan was to leave for Cleveland then Rochester tommorow, but now we are heading to Cleveland today and then maybe taking a train from Cleveland to Syracuse or Rochester.
Wish me luck, haha probably going to be missing some more school this week.

Day 13 and 12
Hey everyone. Last full day of my European travels. I'll admit I'm a little depressed, I have made some great friends and I am not completely ready to leave Europe. Tommorow we have to leave the hotel at 4:30 for our flight so I don't know if I am even going to try to sleep; the rest of the group and I may just hang out and enjoy Europe while we can.
Thanks for all the well wishing I feel much better today (when we are about to leave) so I have been in a really good mood today (although fleeting thoughts of hw, tests and quizzes have been plaguing me). Anyway, today we went to a Czech hs and visited to 12th grade English classes. It was cool listening to local students, many of who are very interested in the lives of people who live in the US. After that we did our last shopping throughout Prague and some friends and I did a little exploring of the city itself.
Yesterday we toured Prague from 10 am to 2 pm. It was two degrees Celsius so I broke out my overcoat to where for the day. The city is beutiful and somber; it was relatively quiet except for the laughs of us obnoxious Americans. We visited a Church and what I believe is called the castle of Prague, which was a lot of fun despite all of the walking. We had a large lunch, where we ate some local croquettes; which were delicious. After we ate we did some shopping in the city and then whent to the mall for dinner. All in all it was another great day.
I'll post again tommorow

Day 11
Day 11
Hey guys again I am having trouble posting each day as an actual comment. I am currently sitting in the airport waiting to get on my 4:30 flight to Prague (capital of the Czech Republic).
Last night and this morning were pretty sad as I said goodbye to my host family. It was such a great experience and I am truly going to miss it.
I'll post again soon.

Day 10
I finally got to post these days as new posts!!
Hey guys its day 10 I have been having trouble with the wifi so I haven't been able to post. Furthermore, I am having problems posting an actual comment...., so now that I am done complaining I'll let you know how my past few days have been.
Yesterday, we whent to the Peace Palace, home of the ICJ. It was incredible, we sat in the seats of people from around the globe. We also got to see where hearings were given and trials were heald.
Committee has been great although my ambassador responsibilities often pull me out of committee, which is unfortunate. Don't get me wrong though being an ambassador is great; today I waived the Ukrainian flag as a band played in the World Forum theater. Also, today, being part of the GA, I went to the Planery session. Which, is where all GA (general assembly) deleagtes from a country debate over the best resolution of each committee. Although, slow and 5 hours long it was also a great and new experience.
Today, I also went to the ICTY (international criminal tribunal of Yugoslavia), which was mind boggling. Sitting on the other side of a piece of glass was a man who committed genocide (I forgot the name, but I'll post it later).
I am sad the conference is over, but at the same time a little happy. Yesterday I started getting sick and now I have a cold, which kind of forced my day to be me blowing my noise every 5 minutes.
Tonight is my host sisters birthday and we are having a party. Also, we are going to the THIMUN delegate dance.
I'll post again as soon as I can...., and oh ps I have ansewered many of the questions on the last blogs. Sorry I hadn't done it until no, but I had forgotten to respond earlier.

Day 7
Hello everyone. With the first day of purely lobbying over the "bread and butter" of the conference could now begin. Today my day started out with waiting in the World Forum theater room to give my speech in the GA ceremony. I was very nervous, but my friends and advisors told me I did well so I am glad about that. Although, waiting for three hours to give my speech did get boring after a while.... Anyway, after I gave my speech I went to committee where the committee's first to resolutions were presented to the delegates. One regarding the promotion of new or restored democracies (failed) and one regarding the situation of the Comorian island Mayotte (passed). Although, I had worked personally on neither resolution I tried to get involved by asking questions.
It was in the end a very good day of debate and I hope to discuss my resolution in front of the committee tommorow.
I will also try to post the vieo of my speech soon. The sound quality on the video wasn't good so I am going to try to fix that before I post it.

Day 5..., I think
Today was great. First official day of committee. The conference follows a very different set of procedures so we began the conference with a few hours of lobying. Also, today I had the privilege of meeting the Ukrainian ambassador to the Hague during the flag ceremony (haha I know I sound very redundant but that too was anazing). My mun advisor told me today that I am most likely giving a speech, so if all go's according to plan I may be able to post that on the blog tommorow.

Day 4
Hey guys, it's day 4. Since everything is in Dutch on this blog site I am having a little trouble posting. If you can't find a post, check under comments. So, haha anyway....Today we arrived in The Hague Netherlands and visited the World Forum. It was amazing standing and lobbying. I met kids from all over the world and we were all talking to each other about the issues and it was sooo cool. It was a completely new experience and it was phenomenal. To me it was mind-boggling how I was talking and getting to know people from all over the world and discussing different issues with them. So insane....Well, I am now relaxing with my host family and am waiting for a fun day tomorrow. Post again soon.
Day 3
Hello everyone it's day 3. We have some down time so my friends and I are planning on playing some soccer. Today, for the second day in a row, my alarm refused to go off in the morning and I woke up 30 minutes before we had to leave to go shopping at Dom's Square, which was a lot of fun. The food here is terrific and everything is so different. I am trying a lot of new foods and meeting a lot of new people. I'll post again as soon as I can!

Day 2
Hello everybody. It's day 2 in Amsterdam and 6:30 local time. Today we went to two art museums; the Van goh and Reichs. They both had some very interesting pieces there. It's been amazing so far. The city is beutiful and the young atmosphere of the city is exciting to be a part of. I'm heading off to dinner soon and will blog again soon.

My flight arrived at 7:52 Amsterdam time. I got one hour of sleep on the ride over and now I'm going to bed for the first time in 30 hours. The trip is going very well and the trip to the US consulate was a lot of fun. We did a lot of sightseeing today through our tiring ordeal. Everyone is having a good time.
